To convert a percentage to a decimal, divide by 100. 50% means 50 out of 100. 50 divided by 100 = 0.50 (or 0.5). Move the decimal point 2 places left: 50.0 becomes 0.50. Sean enters 0.50 (or 0.5) as the decimal.
