SEAGReady
Our Story

Built by a parent,for parents

SEAGReady exists because preparing for the transfer test should not require expensive tutors or endless stacks of practice papers.

The problem we saw

When families start preparing for the SEAG transfer test, they face a difficult choice. Private tutoring can cost over a thousand pounds. Practice paper booklets pile up on kitchen tables. And through it all, parents are left wondering: is my child actually improving, or are we just going through the motions?

The existing options treat every child the same. Work through paper after paper, topic after topic, regardless of what your child already knows or where they need help. It is inefficient, frustrating, and does not build the deep understanding needed to succeed.

A better approach

SEAGReady takes a different approach. We built a system that understands how concepts connect. Fractions depend on division. Percentages build on fractions. Comprehension builds on vocabulary. Our knowledge graph maps these relationships across the entire P6/P7 curriculum, in both English and maths.

When your child starts, a short diagnostic finds their current level across key topics. From there, practice sessions focus on exactly what they need. Topics they have mastered appear less often. Topics where they struggle get more attention. Progress is visible, measurable, and real.

Grounded in the NI curriculum

Every topic, question, and worked example is built around the Northern Ireland Key Stage 2 curriculum that the transfer test draws on. Explanations use the same written methods and terminology pupils meet in P6 and P7 classrooms, so practice at home reinforces what happens at school rather than confusing it. If you teach P6 or P7 and would like to help shape our content, we would love to hear from you.

What we believe

Every child in Northern Ireland deserves the chance to reach their potential in the transfer test. That should not depend on whether their family can afford weekly tutoring sessions. SEAGReady brings structured, adaptive learning to every home, for less than the cost of a few hours with a tutor.

What makes us different

Not just another practice app

Adaptive Learning

Our knowledge graph understands how topics connect across both English and maths. When your child struggles with fractions, we know to check their understanding of division first.

Affordable

A full year costs less than three hours of private tutoring. Every family deserves access to quality SEAG preparation.

Curriculum-Aligned

Every question maps to the Northern Ireland P6/P7 curriculum. No wasted time on topics that will not appear in the test.

Classroom-Familiar

Questions and explanations follow the methods and terminology used in Northern Ireland classrooms, so practice feels like schoolwork, not a different language.
