Your chances

against these criteria.

How it chooses when it has more applicants than places, in order:

  1. Children resident in Northern Ireland at the time of proposed admission are selected before any child not so resident.
  2. Places allocated in rank order of the SEAG TSAS score (or the score assigned under Special Circumstances or Special Provisions), highest first.
  3. Tie-break (i): children with the same result, where they have a sibling currently enrolled at the school (sibling details must be provided).
  4. Tie-break (ii): children with the same result who are the eldest or only 'child of the family' eligible to transfer to the school (verifying letter required).
  5. Tie-break (iii): children with the same result who attend a recognised feeder primary school, ranked by number of pupils sent in the last three years.
  6. Tie-break (iv): children with the same result who reside in the Antrim/Newtownabbey Borough Council area.
  7. Final step: remaining places allocated by a computer-based random ranking generated from each child's Transfer Application data.
